2023 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Graham Young is a 2027 C/3B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Buford. Features a taller/lean build with hints of some strength. Ran a 7.57 60-yd dash. Behind the plate, he sets up in a taller side-saddle. During throwdowns, there was noticeable quickness to his exchange allowing him to work to a fast release. Set good direction with his footwork but with avg. quickness out the crouch. Arm worked shorter out the glove but with some stiffness in the action only working up to 70 mph with avg. accuracy. At the plate, he sits in a taller/upright stance and showed a relaxed LH stroke. Hands keep the barrel to a flatter launch. Uses a slower/smaller leg lift trigger he initiates early. Barrel works a tad long to start with a higher finish. Some inconsistent timing throughout the round. Avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Used the whole field throughout but with minimal hard barrels. Best results were low liners he sent back up the middle of the field.
