Gary Staffins is a 2026 RHP/IF with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Loganville, GA who attends Walnut Grove. Long, lanky frame with lots of room to fill in and add strength. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, full wind-up, leg lift just above the belt, compact three-quarters slot, loose arm and quick shoulder, lots of depth on the mid 60's curveball, arm side life on the fastball, can sequence and fills the zone nicely with his mix, pitches play well off each other. Secondary infielder, present arm strength, up to 88-mph, works through the baseball well and carries momentum to make full use of the frame, developing accuracy. Took reps in the outfield, quickness to the arm stroke, good throws with accuracy, accurate one hops. Right-handed hitter, wide base and balanced, works to all fields, bit of length to it, good pieces in the swing. Developing size and strength but very real arm talent and can make a jump with more size. Good student.
