2025 PG South High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Zak Al-Arashi is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-2 197 lb. frame from Melbourne, FL who attends Viera. Tall and strong athletic build with some physical projection remaining. Left handed hitter, sets up in an upright stance with a hard and early shift to his front side, rushed leg raise start, loses his balance early, still has some bat speed and ability to impact the ball, strong hands, mostly pull side contact with occasional lift, has hitting tools to develop with adjustments. 7.51 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves well to the ball and fields it cleanly, big crow hop into his throws, has some arm strength and makes accurate throws. Took a turn on the mound, works from an abbreviated wind up with fast paced mechanics and a compact 3/4's arm action. Fastball was in the mid-70's with some heavy low spin life at the plate, works downhill and down in the zone with his fastball. Tends to slow his arm on a soft curveball. Excellent student.
