Ryley Chapman is a 2024 3B/SS with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Sanford, FL who attends Lake Brantley. Strong and physical build with room to get stronger. Switch-hitter at the plate, showed better from the right side at this look, slightly open stance with a good close and a direct and fluid swing, stays balanced well and gets nice extension out front, some lift in his swing with consistent hard gap to gap contact, promises of more power in the future. Similar set up and approach left handed has quick hands and looks to pull it more with a more rotational swing, not bad this side just not as much raw bat speed and ability to drive the ball with impact. 6.82 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has a short and compact arm action with good carry on his throws, showed lateral range with a clean gather and transfer, has some athletic twitch to his actions, chance to be a very good defensive third baseman at the next level. Excellent student, signed with UT-San Antonio. Named to the National Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List.
