Ford Puplava is a 2024 OF/2B, 3B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.03 seconds. Hits from spread, even-based stance with simple loading mechanism, quick hands with good bat speed, shows in-zone adjustability with barrel at times, bat speed stands out, will get pull-happy at times but can use the whole field, projects well. Primary outfielder, plays low and moves well to and through the ball, glove works well, balanced working through, clocked up to 82 mph with quick release. Also took infield reps, solid footwork to both sides as well as moving in on ball, hands work well, up to 78 mph across the diamond from multiple slots. Excellent student, named to 2021 Sunshine Southwest Top Prospect List.
