Gavin Boykin is a 2028 C/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Hillgrove. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, traditional stance, staggered feet, works under the ball, replaces the feet with a clean exchange, accurate to the bag with good mechanics and more arm strength will come, good fundamental base. Right-handed hitter, even base, slightly open, high hands with a high back elbow, bat speed is ticking up, steeper VBA, small leg lift and stride, middle fields carry with some thump, can backspin the baseball. Good student. Named to the WWBA Workout Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
