Christian Alicea is a 2024 C/RHP with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Mastic, NY who attends St. John the Baptist. Alicea has plenty of lower half strength present in the build with additional room to mature and develop as a '24 grad. Working exclusively behind the dish, he used consistent compact mechanics to produce accurate throws on the bag. The righty remained square and showed repeatability in the arm action, gaining ground with the footwork to post a 1.96 pop time. Offensively, Alicea started from a slightly open stance with evident hand speed through the zone to generate carry from gap to gap. He used a hanging trigger in the lower half and a controlled barrel to create elevation in the stroke, posting an exit velocity of 90 mph. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
