2023 High School All State Select Championship (2024-2025 Grads)
Reggie Sharpe is a 2024 SS/OF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Grosse Pointe Park, MI who attends Combine Academy. Features a smaller lean and athletic build that shows flashes of strength. Ran a 6.97 60-yd dash. In the INF, he consistently shows advanced actions. His light and quick feet get him to his spots with quality range. Works through the baseball well with soft hands at reception with a clean and quick funnel/exchange. Arm action was shorter/compact to a higher release getting up to an easy 79 across with accuracy. At the plate, he sits in an even base where he uses a smaller leg lift trigger and loads the barrel more upright at launch. His loose hands throw the barrel on a slight uphill path that has some good length through the zone. Pulled out at times but was balanced and on-barrel the majority of his round. Flashed some pullside impact with a BP homer over the LF wall. Jumped on the mound for a couple innings as well where he showed a slower-tempo delivery where he used a longer arm action and tall-fall type lower half mechanics. He ran the fastball up to 83 that had some natural armside run. Mixed in a larger slurvy breaker he landed for strikes in the mid 60s that induced some in-zone whiff. Was named to the Top Prospects List. Verbal commitment to Michigan.
