Brent Ahrens is a 2023 RHP/2B, 3B, SS, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Hermosa Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa. Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. Two-way prospect. Medium build with a quick tempo delivery on the mound. Drop and drive mechanics and gets down the mound well. Throws from a high three quarters arm slot with shorter arm action. His fastball was up to 82 MPH with ride through the zone. Paired it with a slurve at 70 MPH that he located well. Arm plays well in the field too. Clean fielding actions in the outfield with quickness. At the plate, starts with a simple stride and has a clean bat path. Shows some bat speed and gets the barrel to the ball well. Great student in the classroom.
