Colin Christensen is a 2022 SS/RHP, 2B with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral. Tall, slender type frame with potential for added physical strength. Recorded a 7.59 60 yd time. Primary position is SS, has fundamentally sound defensive actions with raw arm strength, throws have on line carry with accuracy. Recorded 82 mph in infield drills. Switch hitter with narrow, straight away stance, holds hands high from both sides of the plate. Line drive type hitter, tries to hit to all fields. Has quickness in hands with developing raw strength in swing. As RH pitcher, has simple delivery, pitches from the 1B side of the rubber. Can get rotational at times, often flies open with front side. Throws from 3/4 arm slot. FB has occasional arm side run, tries to locate to both sides of the plate, needs to refine FB command. CB has slow 11/5 to 3/4 type action, occasionally gets caught between CB & SL. Needs to continue to refine overall control & command of all pitches. Good student.
