Griffin Boesen is a 2027 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Tampa Jesuit. Tall and physical athletic build with big physical projection remaining. 7.42 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense with some potential on the mound as well. Left handed hitter, sets up in a balanced base with a high hand load and a toe tap trigger, long limbs that he controls and levers well, has strength in his swing and made loud contact to the pull side gap, was on time and on barrel, big hitting potential. 7.42 runner in the sixty. Has good athleticism and actions at first base and plenty of arm strength, also worked out in the outfield with similar actions, moved through the ball well with a long and loose arm action. Works from a staggered start on the mound with a high and tucked leg raise, stays closed down the slope, high 3/4's arm slot, bit closed out front on landing. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with good angle and some deception, gets additional cutting action at times and worked to the glove side effectively. Threw both a 1/7 soft curveball and a tighter slider, can further develop these pitches with repetition and more consistent arm speed. Showed some feel for his change up in the mid-70's. Interesting all around talent whose bat is his highest ceiling tool. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
