Matthew Leber is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Newberry, FL who attends Oak Hall. The primary outfielder has a wiry athletic frame with room to bulk up. He ran a 7.43 in the sixty yard dash. He has a smooth approach with a clean transfer to the side of his body. Long arm action with a low release that was online to the bases. The right-handed hitter uses a knee to knee lift with a pretty big weight transfer to the back side, and staying inside with a flat plane. He stuck to the middle of the field with his approach and showed some jump off the bat to the pull side when squared. Matthew is also a secondary right-handed pitcher with a compact delivery while riding his back leg well. Slight crossfire that adds deception with a small arm stroke on the back and a low 3/4 release. The curveball has developing 11/5 shape and he keeps his hand speed on the pitch. Good student.
