Alex Karst is a 2023 1B/RHP with a 6-7 215 lb. frame from Smyrna, GA who attends Campbell. Long, medium build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.16 seconds. A primary 1B, he did a nice job of fielding balls out front of his body with soft hands. Clean starting the double play and his best throw across the infield clocked in at 82 mph. At the plate he hits out of a spread out stance with a high hand and high back elbow setup. The bat path has natural loft to it and is geared towards elevating with authority with his solid bat speed. Plenty of juice to all fields. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot and his FB sat 82-86 mph and touched 88 mph with heavy bore action. Showed a CB with 11/5 shape at 73 mph. Great student who is currently uncommitted.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
