Aaron Powell is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Paradise Valley. Medium frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.40 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, works from the stretch, high 3/4 slot release, restricted closed lower half, crossfire, will cut the fastball at times, creates plane with big spine tilt, fastball worked 76-80 mph, flashed curveball with slow break, also showed a changeup. Worked out in the outfield, solid athleticism in movements to and through the ball, clocked up to 84 mph on throws with loose, whippy arm. Good student.
