Thomas Ferland is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Bogart, GA who attends Athens Academy. Recorded an 8.04 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with a long and lean build, plenty of room to fill and good physical projection remaining. Primary left-handed pitcher with a compact and repeatable operation, utilizes a short arm action with stab in the back. Stays in line well with the plate, velocity tended to be all over the board in this look. Did not throw a breaking ball but did flash a changeup with late fade and sink, tunneled the pitch well. Will continue to improve as he gets stronger and develops a breaking ball. Secondary first baseman, flips the glove down late in the process and fields out front with two hands. Active feet, did a good job of getting into fielding position. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
