LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2021 National Showcase
Jake Clemente is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long limbs, present strength throughout with additional room to fill. Ran a 6.77 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, simple side step moving into delivery, leg lift up past belt, gets tall on backside, works to an extended three-quarters release point and gets the ball out front at release. Fastball lived in the low-90s and topped out at 93 mph this look and had been up to 96 mph earlier in summer; gets it to both sides of the plate and generates solid sinking life when down in the zone. Breaking ball shows 11-5 shape with occasional slider finish up to 79 mph and flashed a changeup at 81 mph; all three pitches lived around the zone. Right-handed hitter, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger and utilizes physical strength well in swing; generates lift and extension out front and was consistently on time, loud contact to the middle of the field with big carry and strength off of the barrel. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Florida.
