Cameron Tarkenton is a 2026 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Chapel Hill, NC who attends Cardinal Gibbons. Medium athletic build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a very good lower half load and shift into contact, well timed swing with very good barrel control, consistent swing mechanics, hits to all fields, pretty polished at the plate. 7.53 runner in the sixty. Primary infielder on defense, moves well laterally and has some lower half quickness working to the ball, compact arm action, still learning to change slots and make plays on the run. Also pitched, has a fast paced delivery with a clean arm circle in back and a 3/4's arm slot, gets down the mound well with good lower half drive and extension through release, repeats his mechanics well. Showed a nice three pitch mix and the ability to fill up the strike zone. Fastball worked up to 77 mph with some run in the zone and the ability to spot it up glove side. Curveball was a solid offering with good plane and depth, also threw a firm change up with good deception and tunneling with his fast ball. Highly skilled young player who will perform to the top of his abilities. Named to the 13U/14u Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
