Preston Bonn is a 2024 C/3B, OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Brookwood. Medium, athletic build with lean strength and even more coming. Primary catcher, higher side saddle setup, good receiver with quiet, sound actions behind the dish. Short, compact arm action, ball comes out of the hand well with accuracy, up to 78 mph. 7.28 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder, very athletic actions, stays under control when charging, one hand gather on the side, ball comes out of the high slot well with carry and accuracy to the bag. Very good arm, throws up to 89 mph. Right handed hitter with advanced bat speed and whip through the zone. Starts in a slightly open stance with high hands, works to the middle of the field in the approach, has pull side power when extended. Hit hard line drives to all fields and one off the middle of the wall in the round. Good student. Named to the 2022 Fall Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
