2021 WWBA Workout Showcase (Oct. 6)
Vaughn Major is a 2023 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-3 167 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Christian Unified. Long and lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 6.81 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has easy smooth actions on defense, moves through the ball well, flexible loose arm that can throw from multiple slots with plenty of carry. Also played the outfield and showed very good carry from that position. Right handed hitter, big barrel tilt to start his swing, whippy swing path without quite the present strength to create the whip yet, stays balanced well, projects as a hitter with additional strength. Has graded out higher as a pitcher at past events. Excellent student, verbal commitment to UC Santa Barbara. Named to the WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
