Angelo Aprea is a 2027 C/3B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Needville, TX who attends Needville. Primary Catcher with a physical frame and good athleticism for his size. Very quick out of the crouch with big time arm strength. Zippy out of the hand and accurate with good arm strength. Chest high exchanges with shorter arm action. Transfer and release is quick with actions. Throws made with accuracy. Showed excellent receiving ability in game action with good hands and moves well behind the plate with good athleticism. Should stick behind the dish at the next level. Also ran a 7.36 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a narrow upright base. Uses a small leg lift and stride into contact for timing and rhythm. Showed big time bat speed with big time strength at impact off the barrel. Can go gap to gap with authority and ball comes off his barrel different. Clean weight transfer and stays back well. Hit a ton in game as well-off live pitching going gap to gap. Ball comes off his barrel different at times. Produced an exit velo of 93. Excellent Student. Named to the Texas High School All-State TP List.
