Vance Honeycutt is a 2021 SS/2B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Salisbury, NC who attends Salisbury. Medium and skinny frame with room t fill throughout. Ran a 6.84 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, athleticism to actions with efficient footwork moving through the baseball, fields the baseball out in front with solid hands, takes a loose arm into throws to produce average arm strength with plenty of carry to the first base bag, topped out at 81 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a slightly open stance and a high hand set, takes a small toe tap trigger to begin his swing, can get downhill with his swing path at times, gets his hips going into swing rotating well and driving the barrel through the hitting zone with some bat speed on a flat path, shows some barrel skills while letting the baseball travel, opposite field-oriented approach. Outstanding student.
