Dominic Damante is a 2023 OF/RHP, C, 3B with a 5-5 125 lb. frame from Turlock, CA who attends John H. Pitman. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean and projectable build, room for added strength moving forward. Ran an 8.19 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields it out front and works into a full arm action in the back, some effort at release and occasionally opens front side, shows quickness to transfer out of glove, arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, full arm action through the back working to an over-the-top release point, upper body dominant release and can continue to incorporate additional lower half into drive. Maintained velocity and topped out at 70 mph, pitched to contact and able to induce ground ball contact. Curveball flashed 11-5 shape, inconsistent release at present, best when on top of the pitch. Righthanded hitter, begin with a high hand set and back elbow in the box with a slightly open stance; utilizes a longer stride moving into contact. Does a nice job of staying short to the ball and direct with the barrel, linear swing plane through the zone. Creates line drive contact off the barrel and shows a handle, comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field with extension out front, projects well with added strength.
