Davin Lewis is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-10 146 lb. frame from Wailuku, HI who attends Baldwin. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, leg lift raise just above belt while getting tall on backside during gather; full arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Front side opens early at times and can cause inconsistency in release; generates nice sink to fastball and up to 79 mph when on top of the ball at release. Low effort release overall and projects for more velocity, pitched heavily off of fastball and showed comfort pitching to arm side and working in on righthanded hitters. Short steps moving towards the ball in the outfield, stays low moving to the ball and through release, similar full arm action, threw runner out at home in live action. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Upper body dominant swing with a full and linear path through the zone; patient approach, gets mistimed with hand load at start of swing.
