LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2023 Sophomore National Showcase (2026 Grads)
Randy Ruiz is a 2026 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-9 179 lb. frame from Windermere, FL who attends Windermere. Strong and compact build. 6.90 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, is aggressive to the ball, has lots of arm strength from a short and compact arm action, makes low on line throws with nice carry. Right handed hitter, has a short swing with a tight hip turn, simple load and timer that he repeats well, has bat speed and strength at impact, consistent hard pull side contact with carry and occasional lift, type of swing that should translate well to better pitching. Also pitched, has a high energy delivery with a compact arm action, gets into his strong lower half well. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 88 mph with some run and sink when he was able to get it down in the zone. Change up was his best pitch with good arm speed and some fade. High energy athlete with good strength. Good student.
