2024 Iowa Indoor Showcase
Tait Tierney is a 2026 RHP/3B, MIF, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Fairfax, IA who attends Prairie. He has a good frame with an athletic frame. Ran the 40-Yard Dash in 5.29 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that uses a knee to chest leg kick and works down the mound in line with the plate. He uses a medium arm action and fires from a 3/4 slot with a loose shoulder. His delivery is up tempo and he finishes in a good fielding position. He is aggressive on the mound, attacking hitters in the zone with his fastball that has late life through the zone. He has good command of his curveball the has 11/5 shape with sharp break and lots of sinking action. His changeup has solid fade with nice velocity difference. He does a nice job of tunneling all of his pitches, making it tough on opposing hitters. Secondary third baseman that has quick feet and works the proper angles to get to the ball. He works himself into a good fielding position and works through the ball with his lower half. He has a good feel for the glove and soft hands, allowing him to transfer the ball cleanly before firing accurately across the infield. Right-handed hitter that starts in a wider base with a higher hand set. He uses a toe tap trigger for timing and has a smooth swing. He works on plane early and looks to drive the ball into the gaps. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 Iowa Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
