Rhett James is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 6-0 186 lb. frame from Benton, AR who attends Central Ar Christian HS. Recorded a 7.54 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with projection to the frame. Primary righthanded pitcher with good present arm speed. Creates angle on the fastball that was up to 86 mph. Good life with a drop and drive mechanic to incorporate the lower half. Gets over the front side effectively and arm stroke creates deception. Flashes bite to the slider and can tunnel the pitch well. Repeats mechanics well and can effectively pound the strike zone. Secondary infielder with good hands and a clean funnel through release. Arm strength plays well from the position. Righthanded hitter with a big leg lift trigger into contact. Swings with intent and has a lower hand set. Good pull side power potential. Named to the 20176 National Underclass South Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
