Conner "CJ" Mayhue is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Shelby, NC who attends Crest HS. Recorded a 6.78 second 60-yard dash time. Medium, athletic frame with a physically projectable build. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a deeper arm stroke and creates angle on the fastball. Three-quarters arm slot with controlled effort and topped out at 90 mph on the fastball during this look. Fast arm and slows slightly on the offspeed. Changeup is a solid present pitch and the slider has some tilt to it. Lots of tumble on the changeup and effective three-pitch mix. Lefthanded hitter with an even, narrow base. Quiet approach and consistently leveraged barrels. Good bat speed with some raw power as well. Good pop and carry off the barrel. Good student. Named to the 2018 Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to East Carolina.
