Anthony Cammuso is a 2020 RHP/2B/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Monroeville, PA who attends Gateway HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, simple side step into delivery, hip turn at top of delivery and gets tall on back side. Shorter arm stroke through the back working to a higher three-quarters release point, shows ability to sink fastball and induce ground ball contact, topped out at 73 mph. Nice feel for curveball with tight spin and 12-6 shape at 62 mph. Able to work in on hitters. Moves well defensively in the infield, fields out front with soft hands, shows balance to actions, stays low throughout actions and works from a lower arm slot on throws across diamond, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing, stays short and direct to the ball and remains balanced throughout. Simple mechanics and repeats well, contact approach and works the middle of the field with comfort. Very good student.
