Rylan Ackerman is a 2025 C/3B/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Flowery Branch, GA who attends Cherokee Bluff. Strong young build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from an open start with a big lower half shift into contact, does a good job of keeping his hands direct and short to the ball, repeats his timing well, line drive middle of the field approach, flashed the ability to create back spin and get some carry to the gaps, solid present hitting base to build from. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Showed good arm strength behind the plate defensively with a compact arm action and a pretty quick transfer, developing lower half actions and footwork. Also plays the outfield and is plenty athletic enough to continue to develop there as well. Took a turn on the mound, big side step start to his delivery, very compact arm action. Fastball topped out at 71 mph, mostly straight. Tends to slow his arm action on his breaking ball. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
