Mark Knight is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Eagle's Landing Christian Academy. Medium build, projectable young frame with long limbs and a high waist and lots of room to fill with plenty of time to do so. Primary lefthanded pitcher, works exclusively from stretch, leg lift slightly above belt, stays online with lower half but arm tends to leak away from body, loose and mostly clean arm action up to an extended 3/4 arm slot, could use lower half more for drive downhill, some effort at release. Three pitch mix, fastball showed natural lefty armside life topping out at 79 projecting for more moving forward, mixed in a short breaking slider and deceptive straight changeup, fields position well and has good mound presence. Lefthanded hitter, open stance getting close, starts with a high hand set and high back elbow, hands dip at load, would like to see a weight transfer implemented for increased bat speed, upper body swing could use more lower half for greater exit velocity off of the barrel, sprayed contact to all fields during round.
