Jackson Wentworth is a 2021 RHP/2B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Waukee. Big and physical build with plenty of strength present, body projects very well moving forward. Primary right-handed pitcher with a loose and whippy arm action, comes from a three-quarters slot and lands online with good extension and finish to the plate. Clean and balanced delivery, repeats the operation and release point to a tee each time. Shows advanced arm speed, the fastball is very firm and gets on hitters quick. Works with good tempo and goes right at hitters, challenging them in the zone. Poised and focused mentality on the mound, has excellent command of each pitch and is able to throw them in any count. The curveball has true 12-6 shape with huge sink and already has advanced swing and miss traits. The changeup was possibly the best we've ever seen it, showing late fade and sink, he kept the same arm speed and it was equally effective against both left and right-handed hitters.
