Cole McLean is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Campbellsville, KY who attends Taylor County. Medium athletic build with some length and physical projection remaining. Works from a standard side step/leg raise delivery with a long and whippy arm action, clean overall mechanics that he repeats well. Fastball topped out at 90 mph, thrown to spots with some run and sink. Change up was a very good pitch with fading depth and very good arm speed, sells it well. Showed big depth to a mid-70's curveball with 1/7 shape, lands the curveball well. True starter's mix with three quality pitches he can throw for strikes. 6.82 runner in the sixty. Worked out in the outfield as his secondary position, showed his athleticism well and had easy actions and good arm strength. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with an inward toe tap trigger into his swing, leans on his back side with a lofted swing path. Good bet to keep improving as he gets bigger and stronger. Good student with a verbal commitment to Tennessee.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
