Cooper Martin is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Davenport High School. Athletic build with long limbs. Primary shortstop with good arm strength. Made throws on a line with accuracy. Throws from a high over top slot with a quick first step. Might profile better on the corner. Also pitched throwing from a high 3/4 slot with a somewhat whippy arm. Shorter arm action to the plate and throws from the stretch. Uses a medium sized leg raise to work downhill. Works with good tempo down the mound getting some drive off the back leg. Pitched efficiently and located well. Showed good feel to sequence and set pitches off. Fastball has subtle run to it and ran in on righties. Dropped in a good looking 12-6 curve with healthy shape and depth. There is definitely more in the tank here once he starts speeding up the arm and getting into the lower half more. Right-handed hitter with an even base starting slightly open. Loads into the rear hip well with some hand speed. Uses a small toe tap and stride for timing and weight transfer. Stays on plane and level through the zone when timed up properly. Produced some strong jump off the barrel when squared. Good student.
