Reed Thursby is a 2024 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Johns Creek, GA who attends Centennial. Recorded a 7.44 second sixty-yard dash time. Large and lanky frame, long limbs with some strength remaining to be added. Primary right-handed pitcher, utilizes the stretch, above the waist leg lift into a drop and drive lower half, uses whole frame to stride down the mound. Sinks into lower half loading up power propelling himself over his front side, landing toward first base. Long arm circle from 3/4 arm slot with a slight hitch in his arm swing. Fastball had some arm side run on it, worked down the in zone. Up to 82mph while ranging from 75-82 mph. Complimented fastball with a solid feel for breaking ball for age. Secondary first baseman, plays upright and stiff. Fields out in front of body, good feel around the bag. Accurate throws across the diamond, 75mph on throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and a wide base. Toe-tap-trigger into a big stride; swing gets long with a slight uphill plane. Gets barrel out to contact, some natural strength behind him. Addition of strength and improvement of flexibility would benefit in multiple facets of his game. Named to 2021 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
