Damion Gonzales is a 2021 C with a 5-10 194 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends East Central HS. Thick frame with some strength to build and square shoulders. Ran a 7.89 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Raw actions behind the plate. Gets some forward stride through transfer. Short arm circle in the back with some arm strength behind throws. Popped a 1.95 during workouts and throws topped out at 73 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a very open stance and a leg lift trigger and an early pre-load. Rotational shift into contact with some jump off the barrel when squared. Good student as well.
