James Brooks is a 2024 C/RHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Tifton, GA who attends Tift County. Smaller frame with a lean build. Ran a 7.32 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, has a higher setup in his stance with quickness to his actions but limited fluidity and some length to his transfers; shows some arm strength that projects through maturity. Also pitches, showed a two-pitch mix from a compact arm action with the fastball playing true to velocity and showing occasional sink while also showing developing command of a curveball. Right-handed hitter, sets up wide in the lower half and loads deep on his back side; has a simple approach working on a lifted swing path with some present bat speed and whip to the barrel generating line drive contact to all parts of the field.
