Luke Lavin is a 2023 C/1B with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Laguna Beach, CA who attends Santa Margarita Catholic. Extra tall and very strong frame with some room to still put on strength. Ran a 7.36 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, replaces the feet well and repeats the transfer and release. Big arm strength to go with good accuracy. A secondary first baseman, balanced and smooth footwork. Clean exchange and on target turning double plays. A left-handed hitter, wider base with a higher hand set to start. Stays inside with a short and compact stroke and lots of strength at the point of contact. Flatter path and the ball jumps off the bat to produce a lot of line drive contact. Hard double to right centerfield during game play. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
