Michael Cacioppo is a 2020 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Springfield Township, NJ who attends Jonathan Dayton. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.97 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well to the ball with quickness to footwork, takes long strides ranging up the middle, fields the ball out front, clean hands at the ball working into a long arm action, shows ability to drop slot, clean funnel, maintains balance in actions on the charge, good carry on throws across. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Long swing path through the zone and shows quickness to hands. Looks to impact the ball at point of contact, comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field, flashes back spin when squared and shows a handle for the barrel. Very good student. Named to the Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List.
