Phillip Garcia is a 2024 SS/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-9 158 lb. frame from Tallahassee, FL who attends Leon. Features an average build with room to add strength. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Primary infielder . Flashed some intriguing traits throughout infield drill. Showed some twitch. Uses solid footwork with good range up the middle. Generates strong throws across the diamond. Developing accuracy of throws will be crucial. Utilizes a wide base with high hands at the plate. Simple, small stride timing mechanism. Quality hands lead to a fairly quick bat through the zone with good feel for the barrel. Gets quality extension out front. More power should come with added strength. Arms strength translates well to the mound. Utilizes a compact delivery with a clean, linear path down the mound. Short arm action hides the ball well. Works at a quick pace. The fastball topped out at 80 mph with ride through the zone. Flashed a slider in the upper-60’s with a fair amount of horizontal action. Threw both pitches for strikes often with the ability to locate well to the glove side. Intriguing two-pitch mix. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
