2020 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Trenten Caples is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Chuluota, FL who attends Hagerty HS. Large frame with broad shoulders and a durable build. Primary righthanded pitcher who only pitched during the event. Side step into a leg lift at the belt. Loose arm stroke and works well down the mound. Compact arm action with an over the top arm slot. Fastball sat in the low-80s, topping out at 84 mph, with a 12/6 curveball that shows good depth. Fastball life shows good arm side run and boring action. Also showed a changeup that showed good fading action. Polished operation and command who can throw all three pitches for strikes in any count. Great student. Named to the 2020 PG Fall Top Prospect National TP List.
