Timothy Walsh is a 2020 2B/RHP, SS, OF with a 5-11 130 lb. frame from Auburn, MA who attends St. John's High School. Medium, young build with square shoulders and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 5.50 40-yard dash. Primary second baseman, fields the ball out front with bend to waist, works through ti well with lower half, takes short strides going up the middle, sound transfer, gets on top of throws and shows accuracy across the diamond. Also pitched, begins on first base side of rubber; high leg lift up past belt, clean arm action through the back with a high three-quarters release. Fastball topped out at 76 mph, creates extension out front and flashed late life through the zone; will continue to develop consistent release point on curveball. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Short, on line stride moving into contact, uses mostly hands in swing and can continue to implement additional lower half. Utilizes a contact approach and stays linear through the zone with path, gets the barrel to the ball well. Good student.
