Vinson Berry is a 2024 3B/RHP, C, IF, OF, UT with a 6-3 150 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Luella. Tall and lean frame with lots of room to fill and time to do so. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield while sitting back on the baseball, quickness to his first step, stays efficient with his footwork, long strider, developing hands with accurate throws across. Secondary right-handed pitcher, mechanical windup with a leg lift at the belt line, high three-quarters arm slot release that he will dip when throwing his breaking ball, fastball topped out at 70 mph with a low-60s curveball. Right-handed hitter, sets up with a slightly open stance and a high back elbow in the box, handles the barrel well with a compact swing, gets downhill with hands and has young bat speed, additional strength will improve bat speed and pop.
