Gregory Conver is a 2008 RHP with a 6'5'', 200 lb. frame from Margate, FL who attends Northeast HS. He has an extra long and loose build with athletic actions and good projection. Conver has Randy Johnson type mechanics from the right side, with a very extended mid to low 3/4's release point that gives hitters an unusual and uncomfortable look at the ball. His fastball was 90-93 mph in Cincinnati with excellent sink and running life that will break lots of bats. It's no stretch to see him throwing consistently in the mid-90's in the future. Conver's breaking ball is a flat slurve right now but he has the potential to throw a slider when given the right instruction. His change up has some present quality to it. Conver has been closing this summer and doing well in that role intimidating hitters. He's a high ceiling prospect and a potential top round pick.
