Hudson Spear is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Locust Grove, GA who attends Locust Grove. He ran a 7.34 second sixty. A primary left-handed pitcher with a younger lean build. On the mound he worked from the stretch only creating some angle to the plate with his extended three-quarters arm slot while filling up the zone and working ahead with the fastball at 75-80 mph and mixing in a 1-7 curveball with good depth and solid action to build off of as he continues to grow and develop providing an especially tough look for lefties. In the outfield he comes and gets the ball fine fielding it off of the right foot and transferring to a short arm action with quickness in the shoulder topping out at 83 mph. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base showing good bat speed with a weight shift into contact as the swing has good intent impacting the baseball best to the pull side with a slightly lofted path.
