Jack Crighton is a 2022 3B/MIF/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Rochester Hills, MI who attends Orchard Lake St. Marys Prep. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with room to grow and develop moving forward, plenty of physical projection. Fast-twitch, ran a 6.43 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, clean actions with softness to hands out front, shows balance to actions and twitch plays in versatility, higher slot on throws across diamond, shows on line carry across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a simple weight shift moving into contact. Quick hands and employs a middle of the field approach with contact skills, generates contact out front, consistent path through the zone. Line drive oriented stroke, shows ability to work to all fields with solid present bat speed, projects with added physical strength. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Michigan.
