Steve Vallescorbo is a 2019 RHP/2B with a 5-7 190 lb. frame from Toa Baja, PR who attends Escuela Papa Juan 23 Especializada. Larger frame with some strength present on the build. Primary righthanded pitcher with a simple side step delivery into a medium leg lift at the belt. Long and loose arm stroke through a three-quarters release. Stays squared to the plate with his hips and topped out at 78 mph. Sweeping curveball with a lower slot and really has conifidence in the pitch. Low effort release and can work both sides of the plate with the fastball. Arm strength played nicely from secondary position of second base. Switch hitter who graded out best from the right side. Narrow base, slightly open, with a simple leg lift trigger. Gap to gap approach with a low effort stroke. Works both sides of the fields from the right side with intent. Good student.
