Brayden Johnson is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Longview, TX who attends Hallsville HS. Shorter frame with present strength on the frame and room to add more physicality. Primary outfielder with a short arm action and athletic actions. Stays behind the ball well and accurate throws across. Advanced feel for the position with arm strength up to 85 mph and good carry on throws. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a short arm circle and a short leg lift. Good arm speed on the mound with a four-pitch repertoire highlighted by a slider that flashed sharp 10/4 shape and break. Definite arm talent and has the tools to be a quality arm. Righthanded hitter with an upright, even stance. Simple trigger into the swing with a direct path. Quality bat speed and strength with a coil inward during the load. Middle of the field to pull side approach. Hard line drive contact and consistent jump off the barrel. Big power potential due to intent and strength in swing path. Named to the 2017 South Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Tremendous student.
