Brooks Brannon is a 2022 C/1B, OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Winston-Salem, NC who attends Randleman. Large frame with strong, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.49 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, gets into back hip through load and drives lower half well into swing, middle-field approach with very good bat speed and barrel skills, creates leverage off of front side and drives the ball into the air, consistently loud barrel both in BP and in game, potentially high-end hitting tools. Worked out behind the plate, wider set with good flex in hips, receives well and transfers quickly and cleanly, gets out of crouch well and shows athleticism to footwork, clocked up to 72 mph on throws with best pop time of 1.97 seconds in drills. Excellent student, named to Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
