Daniel Sewak is a 2018 C/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from West Chester, OH who attends Lakota East HS. Medium frame, lean build with room to fill out. Right handed hitter, open stance with deep hand load. Solid rhythm and weight transfer, shows solid bat speed and flashes ability to get extended. Pull-side approach, can barrel the ball middle-in, still developing consistent hand path to ball and feel for the opposite field, maintains good balance. Has some defensive versatility, moves well to the ball in the outfield, does a good job of working through the ball. Also shows skills behind the plate, has a quick transfer and fast feet, could use better direction with footwork, but still works quickly and popped a 2.00 down to second base. Solid potential for his age, will be a player to monitor going forward. Very good student.
