Jack Hosley is a 2018 C/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Mount Pleasant, SC who attends Academic Magnet. Medium-large frame with athletic present build; highly projectable moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.62 seconds. Sets up to hit with high hand set and high back elbow, coils back with front hip into load with big leg kick timing mechanism. Has smoothness to stroke with solid bat speed, uncoils well and gets online with hips, drives lower half, line drive plane with good feel for the barrel and overall bat-to-ball skills. Worked out defensively behind the plate. Good flex into catching set, receives well with strong wrist and soft hand, shows solid fundamental mechanics throughout defensive workout. Gains ground well and makes accurate throws down to 2B, popped as low as 2.08 seconds. Very good student.
